Why reading a chapter again does not work
It is the most common way Indian students study. It is also one of the weakest. The reason it survives is that it feels good.
Almost every two-year plan breaks in the same place. Around the third month of Class 12, new syllabus arrives fast while Class 11 starts fading. Most students only notice when a mock test finds it.
Researchers looked at 254 studies covering more than 14,000 people. Spreading study across days beat cramming it into one sitting, usually by 10 to 30% on later tests. And the longer you need to remember something, the wider the gaps should be.
To remember something for a year, review it weeks apart. Not hours apart.
Revision is not a phase before the exam. It is a quiet process that runs for two years.
Keeping this schedule by hand is the part students cannot sustain — and exactly the part software should do for you. What software cannot do is the ten uncomfortable minutes of recall on day three.
Sankalp does all of this for you — recall checks, mixed practice, timed revision and twist training.
